From 25–31 May 2026, at Sambhaavnaa Institute in the Kangra Valley, Himachal Pradesh, 13 individuals came together to ask questions, learn together, and share a week of conversations and reflection. We had answers, more questions — and a deeper curiosity for the journey ahead. As we look forward to welcoming our next cohort in Winter 2026, stay tuned for the next application season.
What This Is?
Groundwork is an immersive, residential learning retreat designed to help you understand yourself, build essential life skills, and navigate change with clarity and confidence.
Through workshops, reflection, movement, and shared learning, the experience brings together people from different walks of life into a space that is both structured and deeply human.
From the first cohort
Moments from Groundwork
Some glimpses from the Kangra Valley camp! Groundwork isn't just a curriculum—it's a living community space. Here is how our inaugural cohort spent their days: moving from intensive life-skills workshops to nature walks, creative expression, and deep, unstructured peer conversations under the open sky.

The Six Modules Of Exploration
The learning journey unfolds across six interconnected areas:
Deepen The Roots
Exploring identity, learning styles, creativity, and independent inquiry — understanding how you work, think, and grow.
Grow The Branches
Building personal agency, communication skills, collaboration, and the capacity to work with feedback while shaping future possibilities.
Enrich The Soil
Working with body, breath, mind, nourishment, health, and healing — cultivating everyday practices that support wellbeing.
Nourish The Tree
Developing financial awareness, planning skills, and long-term resilience around money, security, and life transitions.
Navigate The Digital Web
Understanding digital life, AI, online engagement, ethics, safety, and responsibility in an increasingly networked world.
Expand The Canopy
Engaging with questions of service, sustainability, social impact, and our responsibility to the wider world.

Why Did We Create This?
Much of what shapes our lives—how we relate, make decisions, handle uncertainty, or care for ourselves—is rarely part of formal education.
In a world shaped by rapid change, burnout, and constant digital engagement, Groundwork creates a space to slow down, reflect, and build the foundations needed to live with clarity, resilience, and purpose.
Optional Pathways After The Camp
Groundwork is just the beginning. We imagine this as the start of a community—one that continues to learn, reflect, and grow together. Our further offerings are designed to support this journey, creating spaces to stay connected, deepen your practice, and move forward with intention.
